Deployment is Over & a Baby is on the Way!!!

I am home from deployment (since June...been busy!) and we are going to have a BABY!!!  So exciting and can't wait for June 2012 to get here quickly.  We have been busy all summer with running, triathlons, camping, vacationing in Hawaii, working, and just enjoying being together after 6 months of deployment!  I will try to continue to update this now that I am home...can't believe almost a year has gone by since my last posting.  I will post some pictures of recent events soon.

Thanksgiving 2010

We were lucky enough this year to have family from all over visit!  We spent some time in our new home with my sister and family and the Mujica's too.  Then we joined the rest of the family on Thanksgiving at my mom's house.  We ate a lot of great food and sweets and played lots of board games.  Of course we also chase kids around all day!  We had 6 children at the house, which was a lot of fun.  Fortunately I was the only one sick during some of the vacation, but it seems I passed it on and now everyone is home and sick.  I am so sorry!  I was so happy to have so much family around during this holiday as I will miss the Christmas holiday.  I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such great people.  Now that vacation is over we are back to work as normal.  Andy is teaching a class right now and trying to deal with his flight chief duties.  I am transitioning out of my job for my deployment.  Here are some pictures of our holiday.  We were all obsessed with the babies of the house!  Chase got a lot of attention and he loved it.

So much going on these days!

So…we have done a lot more to our home by way of painting/decorating.  I need to get a hold of the pictures and post them soon.  We got an assignment to Germany that immediately got cancelled due to the fact that we are locked in at Travis for four years.  Man, that was like dangling a carrot in our face!  Oh well…we are happy here in our home.  Now I am being told I am going to be deploying in Dec for six months!  If it isn’t one thing its another…our crazy lives.  We’ll see how it all plays out.  In the mean time we have been running and biking A Lot and loving it.  We have one more triathlon this season and a duathlon.  I also have my PT test next week.  I have been working very hard on getting faster so I can max out on points…Its looking good so far!  We both are on a break between classes, which is very nice.  And, that is all I can think of right now…more to come!

Home Updates

I am so excited to share the progress we have made to our home.  I was on stand by for a base exercise all week and ended up with four free days off while Andy also had four days off due to his return from a TDY.  So, we took advantage and spent all week out in the yard trying to finish the backyard and re-do the mulch area of the front yard.  I can't believe how fast the weeds took over since we have moved in.  It took me two days of work to get all the weeds up!  I was embarrassed...haha.  But, now we have laid rock with weed blocker down in hopes for easier maintenance!  Here are some pictures of our outdoor activities this week.  Next posting will have pictures of some of our changes to the inside of the house...decoration wise.  Other than house work, we both have been riding a lot!  Work always keeps me busy and now that Andy is qualified his job will keep him busy too.  I am in another college class with only three more to go to finish my MBA!  Andy took a break this semester.  We are doing an Olympic distance triathlon in August and Andy will do his Half-Ironman in September.  Then in October we plan on participating with a team in a Tough Mudder event.  This is a 7 mile obstacle course that will take about 2.5hrs to complete...it will be our first one and we look forward to working hard and having fun.  So, that about catches you up on our life right now.
