Summary of January 2005 to October 2008

Now that I have created my own gmail account, I can successfully begin posting regularly to this new improved blog for Andy and I. However, we have been together since 2005 and I have a lot of catching up to do. So, I will give you a summary of our first three and a half years together. It is easier to do this through pictures (as much as possible) so I don't bore the readers to bad...haha. So, to begin I must start with our first date. This was on January 9, 2005 and we went skiing at Squaw Valley. We didn't take any pictures, but I did slip on the ice and fall on my butt before we even started skiing. Then, I crashed and burned on the slopes right before lunch. What a day...but we loved every minute of it and discovered we had so much in common. So, the dates continued...and the pictures started. (Note: not all pictures are in exact order of sequence)

We have spent much of our time together always on the go. We do things like: triathlons, duathlons, bike races, running races, backpacking, camping, skiing, playing soccer, mountain/road biking, and so much more...so, naturally we have lots of pictures of these trips to share.

Backpacking at Mt. Lassen

Our wedding was in Tahoe, CA at a woman's home that overlooked the lake. It was held outside and it was the most beautiful day I can remember. We had family and close friends there and had so much fun! We went to Maui, HI for our honeymoon. Here are two of my favorite photos.

Over our life together so far we have endured three deployments for the military. Andy has gone on two and I have been on one. His were to Spain and mine was to Kuwait. We are very proud of what we do, but very grateful that our separations have been short and very few compared to some other military to military couples. Here are a couple photos we can share.

So much more has been going on for us in the past three and a half years. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and have begun working on my Master's. Andy and I bought a new Toyota Tacoma last year. It is our baby...and her name is Candy. Well, we have two babies. Andy's Jeep is named Appy.

We sold our condo and are saving our earnings to buy a house in the near future. The condo was too small for both of us...we rent an apartment with a garage now. This gives us enough room to store all the bikes, the kayak, and all the other stuff we possess. We have inherited a china hutch, a reading chair, a china set, and a bedroom set from my parents. Andy tried retraining into a new job for the Air Force that didn't work out due to a foot injury. He is hopeful that it will heal so he can try again. The Air Force is making me retrain now. So, we are in wait status to find out if and when. In addition, it may bring a move for us. We are hopeful for Washington, Colorado, or South/North Carolina. This pretty much brings our life up to date...I will try to at least post once a month from now on with our current activities.
